South America: found in southeast Colombia, southern Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil, Ecuador, eastern Peru and northwest Bolivia.
Taxonomy
Monotypic[1]
This taxon is considered a subspecies of Southern Scrub-Flycatcher Sublegatus modestus by some authors.[2]
