- Greyish-brown upperparts
- Dusky-grey wings with pale wing bars
- Narrow, pale supercilium
Distribution
South America: found in southeast Colombia, southern Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil, Ecuador, eastern Peru and northwest Bolivia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This taxon is considered a subspecies of Southern Scrub Flycatcher Sublegatus modestus by some authors.[2]
Habitat
Forests and riverine edges and scrubby clearings.
Behaviour
Perches upright with the tail pointing down.
Diet
Their main diet consists of insects and they are thought to eat berries as well.
