Distribution
South from southern Texas to Southern Georgia and Florida upt to North Carolina in Winter. Ranges up eastern states up to Canada when breeding.
Taxonomy
Blue-headed Vireo together with Plumbeous Vireo and Cassin's Vireo have recently been split; prior to the split, the combined species was Solitary Vireo. Blue-headed Vireo inherited the scientific name Vireo solitarius from the parent species, but luckily, it seems that all images in the Gallery with that scientific name are post split, in other words show a Blue-headed Vireo.
Habitat
Common in woodlands.
Behaviour
Sparrow like. Flits around a lot - tough to capture picture.
Voice
Song
Similar to Red-eyed Vireo, but slower.
