Identification

Distribution

Colombia and Ecuador.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species2.
Placed in genus Xenopipo by Gill and Donsker.

Yellow-headed Manakin was formerly placed in genus Chloropipo1.

Habitat

Highland forest and second growth.

Behaviour

Mostly found in undergrowth.
