Identification

Similar Species

Similar to Gray-tailed Piha but with yellowish underside and olive-green tail.

Distribution

Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies occur at oppocite sides of Andes: mindoensis on the east side and cryptolophus on the west side1.

This species was in the past placed in genus Lipaugus or Lathria

Habitat

Moist montanes.
