Distribution

South America: found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru on the east side of Andes.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Has in the past been placed in genus Lipaugus or Lathria1.

Habitat

Occurs from 500–1400 m in humid forests.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of both insects and fruit.
