Identification
Distribution
Endemic to the Chatham Islands, New Zealand.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It has been considered conspecific with New Zealand Pigeon and the now lumped, extinct Norfolk Island Pigeon.
Habitat
Native forests.
Behaviour
Diet includes ripe fruit.
