Distribution
Endemic to the Chatham Islands, New Zealand.
Taxonomy
Formerly, it was considered conspecific with New Zealand Pigeon including the now extinct Norfolk Island Pigeon.
Subspecies
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Native forests.
Behaviour
Diet includes ripe fruit.
