- White forehead
- Whitish below
- White band across the flight-feathers
- Black bill and feet

- Grey cap
- Black band between bill and eye with a narrow white band above it

Distribution
North-eastern Asia; winters in the Philippines and Indonesia
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Has been considered conspecific with Ryukyu Minivet.
Habitat
Forest, mangroves, scrub, plantation, gardens
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes insects.
Breeding
Four to seven eggs are laid and incubated for 17 to 18 days.
Vocalisation
The call is a high-pitched, metallic trill.
