9–10 cm (3½-4 in); the only euphonia in its range with white lores.
Sexually dimorphic
Distribution
South America: found throughout the Amazon basin in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
