Identification

9–10 cm (3½-4 in); the only euphonia in its range with white lores.

There are 2 subspecies^[1]

Canopy of humid Amazon lowland forest, river edges and swamps. Observed at heights around 290 m.

Their diet consists of fruit, seeds and insects.
