  • Olive-green crown

Distribution

Philippines.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

Four subspecies recognized[1]:

  • H. e. everetti on Dinagat, Mindanao, Panaon, Biliran and Siargao
  • H. e. samarensis on Samar and Leyte
  • H. e. haynaldi on the Sulu Archipelago (Bongao, Jolo, Sibutu, Tawitawi and Sanga Sanga)
  • H. e. catarmanensis on Camiguin Sur

Formerly placed in genus Ixos.

Habitat

Forests, forest edges and secondary growth. Occurs below 1000 m.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of fruit and, probably, insects, but there is no detailed information available.
