Overview
Largest research and raising station for airworthy birds in Europe.
Birds
Notable Species
Possible to see lots of other birds like Cranes, swans, sometimes White-tailed Eagle (when the eagles appear, the Great Bustards hide for hours), Common Buzzard, Red Kite, Golden Plover, Redwing, lots of Northern Lapwing.
Very good chance to see Great Bustard (best time around 10 am). There is a cage, where the bustards hide if a predator such as White-tailed Eagle arrives. From the tower between Garlitz and Buckow, you can look into this cage. A scope can be useful as the bustards are very shy.
