- Whitish supercilium
- Thin dark line through eye
- Olive back
- Cinnamon-rufous rump
- Olive uppertail-coverts
Distribution
Central and South America: found in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Guyana, and Suriname.

Subspecies
Four subspecies are recognized[1]:
- E. c. callinota:
- Costa Rica to Ecuador and northern Peru
- E. c. venezuelana:
- North West Venezuela (Sierra de Perijá), Mérida and Barinas
- E. c. guianensis:
- E. c. peruviana:
- Central Peru (San Martín to Junín and Cusco)
Habitat
Found in the canopy and edges of montane evergreen forests at around 600–2400 m

Diet
There is little information. Their diet consists of beetles, spiders and larvae.
