Distribution
South America: found in three separate populations, in Trinidad and the nearest parts of Venezuela, in Guiana and nearest coastal part of NE Brazil, and in south central and southeast Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Oryzoborus.
Habitat
They are found in grassland, shrubby areas and marshland near water.
Behaviour
Diet
Seed-eaters, but apart from that not a lot is known.
