Description
Members of this genus have mostly black males and brown females, with large, compressed bills.
Only Gill and Donsker still accept this genus. They place the following species in it:

- Great-billed Seed Finch
- Black-billed Seed Finch
Taxonomy
Oryzoborus is a genus in the family Thraupidae.
It was formerly placed in the family Emberizidae.
The majority of the wordlist now subsume this genus within Sporophila.
