Identification
33cm.
Distribution
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Taxonomy
Three subspecies are recognized:[1]
- T.s.sphenurus - Mountains. of Kashmir to southwest China, Myanmar, north Thailand and Laos
- T.s.robinsoni - Mountains of Malay Peninsula and central Vietnam
- T.s.korthalsi - High mountains of Sumatra, Java, Bali and Lombok
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and motanes.
