Identification
Distribution
Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
Taxonomy
Seven subspecies are recognized: poecilinotus, duidae, lepidonotus, gutturalis, griseiventris, nigrigula, and vidua.
Likely in the future to be placed in the monotypic genus Willisornis.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
Behaviour
They build cup shaped nests.
