- Cercomacra nigrescens
Identification
Male - slaty grey, white at the bend of the wing, small white wing-bar. Female - olive brown back, concealed white dorsal patch, bright rufous-orange underparts extending to sides of head and forecrown.
Distribution
Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Peru, and Suriname.
Taxonomy
There are 6 subspecies.
Habitat
Moist forests and montanes, dense undergrowth.
