Identification

14.5 cm, Long bill, dusky legs, slate gray above, pale gray below, black wing coverts with 2 rows of small white dots, brown primaries. Female - gray head, brown back, dark brown wings with 3 rows of buff spots, buff throat, orange rufous underparts.

Distribution

Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.

Taxonomy

The population on the easternmost tepuis of Venezuela has been proposed as a separate species, Roraiman Antbird P. saturata.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
