Just thought that I would share......Natchez shooters has the 7x42's at a deep discount of $899 ....which is below cost for them. I just bought a pair. Hard to find a better deal than that. They are show binos that do come with a warranty. They also have other configs at a discount, I am not sure what they have left however. They have some with and without the lotutec. These 7x42's don't have it, but still a bargain nonetheless.:t:

Bargain FL's New old stock ?

I'm curious to know the first three numbers of the serial number. The reason I'm asking is because I have a pair of 8X42 FL's with serial number 287XXX which is the older edition. The texture of the older armour was shinier and the eye cups were bigger. The newer editions have rounded eye cups. If the 7X42 FL's are the newer ones I'm sure going to give them a call, these binos are awesome !

Regards from Bruno.

My serial begins with 287.....They came in a black box and I am certain they are the old version. After looking through them for a couple of days, I am awestruck by the view they provide. Low light performance almost defies explanation. I am used to a pair of Nikon 8x42 (monarchs) so these are definitely a major step up......I will be selling them in the near future. I really wanted the lotutec coating, but I was not willing to spend 500-600 dollars more to get it.

I just got a pair of the 7x42s from Natchez too, and so did a buddy on my recommendation. They're awesome. I have the 10x56s also with Lotutec, and I dont' think it makes a bit of differnece. If your're in the rain, eveything is going to get messed up regardless. And My Swaros dont' have Lototec either.

keep your eye on this Natchez place, they're good guys with good deals!

I see that these were used as displays for the 2007 Shot Show. For those that have bought them through Natchez, are they in new or as-new condition and is the warranty included?

Great price. If on the up and up, I think I will have to buy a pair.

Thanks!

Please do so. They are my personal favorites. It is interesting though. I am able to notice an optical difference between my two pairs. The earlier model seems to have a smaller sweet spot. Nothing drastic and it still offers up an excellent image but I immediately noticed the difference. Product variation or upgrade. When I run into John Traynor this spring for some hawkwatches I plan on having him compare the two to get his impression.

Mine are NEW and the full warranty is included.

Mine were also new, fully warranty - box has 'SHOT' lightly in blue highlighter or something, other than that, couldn't tell them from being straight from Zeiss!
