Unidentified birds - Southern California (1 Viewer)

I saw these birds today (8-12-09) at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. I am unsure of there identity.

Voice is alot easier than field marks to differentiate between the dowitchers - they should call them the Monosyllabic (Long-billed) and Trisyllabic (Short-billed) Dowitchers.

The quality is also different. The Long-Billed is higher than Short-Billed.
