Swallows. Lake in Hokkaido (1 Viewer)

Mid August, Lake Toya. I would say these birds are part of a flock of Sand Martins, but is the bird in pic. 2 (closeup of pic.1) a Barn Swallow?

I've no idea which hirundines occur in that area but if it were UK, I'd be thinking hybrid without seeing a difference in flight style.

I've seen a few, presumably from the same brood as they were close together resting amongst a large number of Swallows, that looked like several versions of House Martin plumage/tails had been mixed in with them, they were quite attractive and stood out from the pack but I couldn't get a decent flight view to get a feel for differences in flight style, or the full extent and range of plumage differences.
