Orange tail in France (1 Viewer)

This small guy looks sparrow sized, but it's not a sparrow. Black fluffy feathers with what looks like an orange or brown tail. I'm sure it's something obvious, but I'm not travelling with a guide. Any ideas?

That's so funny. I put a different picture on yesterday which folks assured me was a black redstart, but it looks nothing like this one. Live and learn - thanks!

If you look at the bill-shape, head-shape, overall proportions, and especially the red undertail coverts you'll see the two birds you posted are very similar. And both are perched on man-made structures, another good clue.
