Any ideas? UK forest brown bird with blue and white tail? (1 Viewer)

Good morning,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what I've just seen fly Infront of the car whilst driving through a forest in Devon? It's tail looked like my crude drawing below 🤣. It's tail looked quite like a Mallards wing colouring? It was quite large, with a brown body but a blue or green tail with white stripes either side.

It was about the size of a duck but only saw it's rear before it disappeared, it had quite direct flight?

Slim chance I know but I've had a quick Google and couldn't find anything so just thought I'd ask for suggestions on here.

Jay would fit the superficial colour scheme well. Depending on how well you saw and briefly in flight, your brain can misinterprate features quite easily. (You may be familiar with and have already eliminated Jay of course).
