House finch or Cassin's finch? Colorado, just north of Denver, 08.2024. (1 Viewer)

Hello, can someone tell if this could be cassin's instead of house finch, as the culmen seems to be pretty straight? Thanks

Not an expert here; just have house finches around me all day, every day. I agree with you about the conical shape of the bill; doesn't look like house finch, which has a more bulbous culmen. Do you have any other images?
 
Does anyone have any input to add here, or is it likely unidentifiable?

Here’s a Cassin’s shot in Oregon a few years back at Crater Lake, I’m thinking the bill shape compares well with your shot.👍
