Hello from phoenix! Help the hummingbirds find my feeders pls!! (2 Viewers)

I'm in an urban area of Phoenix on the 3rd floor of a 5 story Apartment building. There are some trees around mostly palms and lots of trumpet shaped flowers and other plants on the ground that Hummers love. How can i get them up to my feeders? Or will they stick to the lower, easier to find sources of nectar?

I good way to attract hummingbirds is to put out a hummingbird feeder and keep it stocked with fresh sugar water (1 part sugar, 4 parts water).

It may take a few days for hummingbirds to start coming, but once they find your feeder they will be regular visitors. You also can put up some flowers next to it to draw their attention if you have trouble attracting them right away. Red, tube shaped flowers are the best for hummingbirds!

Sorry, I can't really help with hummers (sadly), maybe someone in the Garden Birds and Feeders forum will have more knowledge. The only thing I can say is, that I live in an upstairs flat and have window feeders, it took weeks for the birds to find them, but now I have a variety visiting.

Yes, If you can get your hands on some Texas Sage, the hummers love them. Along with Salvias
