Hummingbird Feeders (1 Viewer)

I've had hummingbird feeders for many years. Moved from L.A. to Spokane. Bought a traditional feeder but didn't like it because it didn't come apart at the bottom so it could be cleaned properly and the ants finally found it. Bought a feeder with a built in ant moat the the top. Almost every feeder had white flowers instead of yellow. Was wondering about that but went ahead and got it anyways. My hummingbirds seem to be shunning the new feeder. Is it the white flowers? Should I find a paint that will stick to plastic and paint the flower petals yellow? Any advice would be appreciated. I used to use the Oriole feeders back in L.A. because we had Orioles and after a while the hummingbirds wouldn't drink out of anything else. Had to use the separate ant moat attachment. Any advice appreciated.

New feeders always seem to put birds off until they've become used to them so give it some time.

Hi, Morticia and welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group. Give it a few weeks, cleaning as normal and they will start coming (I think).
