The Dutch taxonomic committee puts Bluethroat in Luscinia.
I assume they discussed this with George Sangster!
My bad. George pleeeeeaazze !

My base is divergence time, branch length (in comparison with nearest clades)

I hope Boyd doesn't fall into this collective madness.

They may not have discussed it since 2012, though.
The 4-species Luscinia is not really appealing to me either. (The group is essentially undiagnosable morphologically. I'll stick to Cyanosylvia.)

Proposal batch C and D are now available

A lot of this, as is often the case lately, are proposals that are essentially catching up with Avilist, SACC and other checklists, but "new" proposals of interest in the newest set include:

Lumping Black-crested and Tufted Titmouse
Splitting Eastern vs Western Warbling Vireo
Transferring Fan-tailed Warbler to genus Euthylpis
Splitting Red-crowned Ant-Tanager into multiple species
Lumping Icteriidae with Icteridae (recommended no vote)
Lumping Phaenicophilidae, Spindalidae, and Nesospingidae into a single family
Revision of Columbidae taxonomy

All of the figures are from already published studies, so you would have to look those papers up to see the reasoning. Ages don't really matter much since it's mostly about the sequencing of taxa as far as the proposal goes

Why would this be a recommended no vote when cross-familial hybrids are known? Doesn't that seem like it should be a slam-dunk one family?
They provide reasoning in the proposals, I am just providing the quick and dirty synopsis of things people here would probably find interesting.
