Anyone heard of a summit scope? (1 Viewer)

Because I had a small budget, I went into Ayr and (with very little choice) bought a 'Summit' scope. I had tryed it out before I bought it, and it was excellent.
However, I want to try digiscoping but the damn scope doesn't have any company details to write to ask about camera attachments to the scope. And i tryed to hold the camera to the eyepiece but the camera only has 2 million pixels so the quality was terrible.
My Dad got a new camera which is far superior and I again tryed the holding up to the eyepiece but this time the pictures were bordered by the rubber on the eyepiece.

So, my question is this - has anyone heard of a 'Summit' scope? And if so do they know if you can by camera/digiscoping brackets for it?

But its not all bad, I can still get really good close up views of the birds than what i got with binoculars.

Also does anyone have any tips on digiscoping and photographing birds?

Thank you very much for your help!

The shop should be able to give you these details. What shop did you go to ?

It was Vennel cameras in Ayr. I asked them on the day i bought it and they said the suppliers will be able to tell me. But there is no address anywhere on or in the box or the piece of paper that tried to call itself a manual!!!!

I am beggining to think that the company "Summit" is just a 'cheap' maker of scopes.....

Digiscoping adapters either fit over the eyepiece, or to the eyepiece via a clamp, or via a clamp from the tripod Quick Release Plane screw, Its only in the first case that adapters are made to fit a specific size eyepiece diameter.
SRB will make you one if you supply the eyepiece dimensions, but the best option would be the Baader adapter ( I've only heard good things about it ). Do a search for Baader adapter for info.

Just done a goodle search@

The suppliers of Summit scopes in the UK are Intro 2020 - http://www.intro2020.co.uk/pages/main.htm. Get in touch, they might be able to help.

I too got a Summit on a very tight budget and it's not bad for the price. If you zoom slightly on your hand held digi camera you will get rid of the dark vignetting and produce some reasonably good shots without the need for an adapter(just something extra to be fiddling with if you ask me!!)
I enquired at the intro address about extra eyepieces but still haven't heard anything, hope you have more luck with them.
