Now where's he gone THIS time

One of the annoyed resident pair of Pied wagtails that chase the Grey that appeared in late September and is still around, much to my surprise. Taken as the Grey took flight from my last photo.
  2. Pied Wagtail of Pavlovac

    Pied Wagtail of Pavlovac

This is one of our resident Pied Wagtails, which inhabits the area around our house in the rural village of Pavlovac, Vrebacki, Croatia. It was a very hot and sunny day when I took this photo and this little guy and his pals were busy catching food on the wing. I have enlarged this photo about 60%.

There was a lovely tea room in Craignure, so we had to go in and treat ourselves to afternoon tea.... such lovely cakes!!! Before we went in I shot across the road to try and get this little waggie. He did give me a bit of a run-around along the sea wall LOL. Clive and Glen wondered where I'd...

Even the little passerines wanted to explore the sea weed LOL. Not my best picture, and not my best of a waggie either, but I wanted the record of what I saw on Coll. A combination of distance, very bright sun and lack of contrast with the background... oh well! And it was a trip tick.

    Waggie on a wall

Had an invigorating though near birdless walk up on Dartmoor, seeing mine ruins, Dartmoor ponies, bleak landscapes. Walked a slightly different route back through a more sheltered valley where I did get some rather distant shots of larks and wheatears, then this Wagtail flitting about the walls...

Back to the hide for a short while and found this little wagtail hunting for insects on this island in front. I was quite pleased at the detail I got for such a little bird.
