    I've been going to my local reservoirs for over 40 years... never seen a Hobby - this flew over my garden yesterday. It was eating mid-flight, so interesting to see. High up and only a short lens, so a heavy crop, but it's a new one for my gallery

    My last visit to Minsmere provided another lifer for me - the Hobby. At one time there were four of them zooming around, catching dragonflies over the pools. I found it very difficult to freeze the action, here's my best effort at capturing these supersonic birds in flight!
