Reservoirs for sale Mmmm, i cant think this is going to be advantageous for local wildlife, the reservoirs are important locally but I cant see any enviromental group having the funds available to buy them ? (Even though there isnt a reserve price it seems.) |:(|

Just seen a Green Woodpecker fly out of the trees between the Maxwells DIY store and Caterpillar at NW Industrial Estate,Peterlee. It flew over my head ( I was working outside at CAT ) and bobbed up and down North in flight. We are only approx 1000 metres from Castle Eden Dene but still a shock !

    Northumbrian Birding

As much as we were overjoyed that WWWT was the most Northern outpost for breeding Avocets, it was superb that they had moved on again into Northumberland. Desperate if the earlier posts are true and potential miss management from a dedicated wildlife group has caused them to fail.

    Yorkshire Birding

Just seen your reply to an earlier post, surely the fact that now one of the Norths best birding site is under safe guarded control is a good thing,ok,you disagreed with a volunteers approach etc but does that mean you want to stop supporting the future of birds by withdrawing your subs ? Strange...
