Distribution
Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and Nigeria
Taxonomy
Two subspecies recognized:
- A. t. bamendae in southeast Nigeria and adjacent western Cameroon
- A. t. tephrolaema in southwest Cameroon and Bioko
The subspecies kikuyuensis (Kenya, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo) is placed in this species by Dickinson, Clements places it in Eastern Mountain Greenbul, Gill and Donsker accept it as full species.
This species was formerly placed in the genus Andropadus.
