Myiarchus venezuelensis

Identification

19cm. Brown upperparts, darker head and short crest, grey breast, yellow belly, brown tail feathers and wings with narrow rufous outer webs. Sexes are similar, but young birds have broader rufous edgings.

Distribution

Northeastern Colombia, northern Venezuela and Tobago.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Forest and deciduous woodland.

Behaviour

The nest is built in a tree cavity.

The diet includes insects.
