Identification
Green, slightly darker wings, yellow forehead-spot, dark red-dusky bill, white eye ring, dull yellowish or whitish irises and a medium to short, rather wedge-shaped tail.
Distribution
Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, eastern Ecuador, and south-eastern Colombia.
Taxonomy
The eastern subspecies, B. s. takatsukasae, and western nominate subspecies B. s. sanctithomae.
Habitat
Wooded habitats near water.
