Identification

Similar to the Dusky-blue Flycatcher M. comitata.

Distribution

Western Africa: found from the lowlands of the Ivory Coast to southern Cameroon and north-eastern Zaire.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Muscicapa.

Habitat

Moist shrubland.
