Formerly on Tanna Island (Vanuatu). Not reported since 1774.
Taxonomy
This was a monotypic species.
Some authorities include this species in Santa Cruz Ground Dove.
Formerly placed in genus Gallicolumba by Clements.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
