Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
Taxonomy
Fifteen subspecies are recognized in this species.
Santa Marta Foliage-gleaner was split from this taxon.[1][2]
Placed in genus Automolus by Gill and Donsker.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and montanes.
