Found from northwest Afghanistan to Pakistan and northwest India.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
It is sometimes included in Red-mantled Rosefinch.
Habitat
Temperate forests and boreal shrubland.
Behaviour
Vocalisation
Sings from the top of tall trees.
