Identification

Distribution

Found in the Andes of southeast Peru (Cerros del Sira).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly included in Horned Curassow.

Habitat

Lower montane forest and adjacent lowland evergreen forest.

Behaviour

Diet

Its diet includes fruit, seeds, soft plants, larvae and insects.

Breeding

1 egg is laid.
