Distribution
Endemic to the Seychelles (Praslin and Curieuse).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly included in Lesser Vasa Parrot.
Placed in genus Mascarinus by Clements.
Habitat
Mangrove swamps and evergreen forests.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes seeds, blossoms and fruit - especially berries and mangos.
Breeding
Nests are built in hollow trees.
