Distribution

Endemic to Seram and Ambon, Southern Moluccas, Indonesia.

Taxonomy

Formerly included in Golden Bulbul together with Northern Golden Bulbul and Buru Golden Bulbul.

Subspecies

Two subspecies recognized^[1]:

• H. a. affinis on Seram
• H. a. flavicaudus on Ambon
