Identification

- Greyish underparts
- Dark feathers on throat give a scaly appearance
- Broad white tips to the tail
- Yellowish lower mandible
Distribution
South America: found in Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina.

Habitat
Denizen of the mid-level Atlantic forest, where it inhabits the understorey of montane rainforests and humid areas of semi-deciduous forests.
Behaviour
Their main diet consists of nectar and insects. They feed by trap-lining.
