Notable Species

Over 100 species of breeding birds and 250 migrant and wintering birds occur in this area, Raptors, include the Gray Hawk, Mississippi Kite and Crested Caracara.

Other species include Green Kingfisher, Northern Beardless Tyrannulet and Yellow-billed Cuckoo. 1

Being nocturnal, Mountain Lion and Bobcat are not so easily seen as species such as White-tailed Deer, Mule Deer, Javelina, Desert Cottontail and Black-tailed Jackrabbit. 1
