Identification
27 to 29 cm. Rufous upperparts barred with black, white throat, breast bright rufous, belly white and flanks barred black, chestnut crown and legs yellowish-grey.
Distribution
Northwestern Brazil, probably adjacent Colombia; southern Guyana, southern Suriname; French Guiana and northeastern Amazonian Brazil (Amapá).
Taxonomy
This species is monotypic.[1]
Habitat
Swamp forest and moist forest.
