Distribution
South America: found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.

Subspecies
There are 4 subspecies:
- F. c. colma:
- F. c. nigrifrons:
- F. c. amazonicus:
- Brazil south of River Amazon (River Madeira to north-western Maranhão, southern Mato Grosso)
- F. c. ruficeps:
- Coastal eastern and south-eastern Brazil (Pernambuco to Rio Grande do Sul)
Habitat
Rain forests.
Behaviour
Diet
They forage amongst the leaf litter for ants and grasshoppers.
