Identification
12–13 cm (4¾-5 in)
- Blue upperparts and chin
- Paler blue broad supercilium and forehead
- Chestnut underparts
Distribution
Asia: found in the Himalayas (north-eastern India, south-eastern Tibet and southern China); winters to Myanmar
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
They breed in mixed conifer forests, which also contains tree rhododendron.
Behaviour
Diet
They feed on the ground, mostly eating insects.
