Identification

Distribution

New Georgia in the Solomon Islands.

Taxonomy

  • A monotypic species.
  • Formerly lumped within G. philippensis, the Buff-banded Rail.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, and plantations.
