Distribution
Northeastern Argentina (Missiones) and extreme southern Brazil (southwestern Paraná to southern Rio Grande do Sul).
Taxonomy
Planalto Tapaculo was split from Mouse-colored Tapaculo.[1][2][3]
This is a monotypic species.[1]
Habitat
Behaviour
Vocal. This and similar species are often very difficult to see.
